Shiny, Happy (for the most part) Oscar

Our little guy has a little bit of eczema on his belly, chest and his face--but as you can see, he's not letting it get him down. The pediatrician we went to see at the local urgent care facility on Friday (yesterday) said the eczema is most likely due to the cold, dry weather and the furnace. Yes, we took him to urgent care for eczema. At the time, we were worried it was a strep rash or scarlet fever because it came out of nowhere. I opened up his sleeper Thursday night to change his diaper and there was this sandpaper-like rash all over his tummy and chest. By Friday morning, it had spread to his face. Anyhow, the doctor identified it as eczema immediately and said he sees a lot of it this time of year. For treatment, we're coating Oscar with this super greasy lotion/ointment called Aquaphor. If any of you have used it, you know this is some seriously strong stuff. Anyhow, we need to keep Oscar greased up and see if the eczema clears up. If not, the doc will prescribe a steroid cream.

To update you on the tummy tries, Oscar is almost there. He just needs to move his right arm out of the way. I came home from running errands today to find a very busy David quickly heating up a bottle for Oscar, and a very hungry Oscar rolling around in his playpen. Oscar gets pretty cranky while waiting for his bottle--that's my little disclaimer for you before you watch the videos. Enjoy!

He's so close! I was leaning for him as I was watching it, as if it would help him roll all the way.
