Some Stubborn and Silly Moments...

I took a week off from posting because we've been super busy getting ready for the baby. Nothing fancy, just putting the finishing touches on the room and getting all Oscar's baby clothes unpacked and laundered for his little brother.

The picture below was taken on St. Patrick's Day. The weather was beautiful and Oscar and I were matching. Can you tell how much he's kicking his legs?

One of Oscar's newest things is picking up the nasty, slobbery dog toys and putting them in the doggie toy box. He gets so much satisfaction out of it.

Another new thing Oscar has started doing is making funny faces at us while he eats. He's so happy to be out of the high chair and in his booster.

Some times, he likes to eat like the animals eat.

Here he is having some hot dogs right before his hair cut last Saturday. This was Oscar's

second time getting his hair cut by our friend, Lynn.

Now this is too cute and kind of sad. The next 3 videos all show Oscar's latest "time to go to bed" behavior. He has recently decided he doesn't like going to bed. Once he gets up in his room, he's fine, but up until then, he stages these mini "sit-in" protests. As soon as one of us says, "it's time to go to bed," he sits down in opposition.

The video below is Oscar playing catch with our 13-year-old neighbor, Jack. Now while this is cute, it's been kind of difficult for David and me. Oscar is obsessed with playing outside as soon as we get home from school in the evening. David and I love that Oscar wants to be out in the fresh air, and we love how much he loves to play. It just gets really challenging when the weather is bad and he can't go outside. He flips out.

He flips out even more when we've been outside and we have to come back in. Oh, it's bad. He's come to associate his winter jacket and hat with going outside. So, when we come home from school, he won't let us take his jacket off, because he knows it means he's staying inside. It's practically a 2-person job removing his jacket. The video below was taken after Oscar was finished playing catch with Jack. He was okay to come back inside, because he could watch Jack playing from the window, but once we went to take off his jacket, he threw a huge tantrum.

Hopefully, this won't bum you guys out. As sad as it is, I still find it kind of cute. He gets over it eventually...
