As much as I tease my friend, Anne aka "Annie" (Will's mom), for having a fancy schmancy camera, I'm so appreciative for all the amazing pics she took and shared with me. Brandi (Sterling's mom), also has a fancy camera, which I haven't teased her about yet, but am equally appreciative of the party pics she took and shared with me.
We celebrated Oscar's special day at "The Flip Zone" in Lee's Summit. It's an indoor gym for cheerleading, non-competitive gymnastics and birthday parties.

Oscar was pretty quick to select his pumpkin.
Another exciting milestone for Oscar was his first school field trip in October. The school takes the preschool through kindergarten kids to Faulkner's Ranch every year to pick pumpkins, feed and pet the animals and a bunch of other fun fall activities.
Since Oscar is in preschool now, he'll be going on lots more field trips and I'm hoping I'll be able to take off from work for each and every one. I was even allowed to ride the school bus with Oscar.
Here are the kids at Faulkner's lined up and ready to go in to feed the animals. Can't you see the range of ages among Oscar's school friends. Oscar is small for his age (3), and this group of kids had 3 to 5-year-olds. The Kindergarten kids are so grown up and tall. It's hard to believe Oscar will be one soon.

Meanwhile, in the 1-year-old classroom, Otto and friends were also eating. They didn't have an offiical party in their room because it's too much of a production to dress and keep a bunch of one-year-olds in costumes. David passed the camera to one of Otto's teachers so she could take this quick snap. If Otto had seen his daddy, he would have wanted to go home also.

Surprise, surprise, the boys dressed up as Thomas the Train for Halloween. David was able to take off from work for Oscar's class Halloween party.
This video is sweet, but sad. David was filming the kids coming back inside from their parking lot parade, and it's the first time Oscar notices his daddy at school and wants to go home.

For Halloween, we took the boys to our friends Meghan and Aaron's (Mabel's parents') house for the second annual "Boo Brunch."

Otto mostly just wanted to throw the balls.
But the highlight of the Boo Brunch was playing with Mabel's toy kitchen.
The boys had so much fun, we're surprising them with their own kitchen for Christmas.

When the weather warms up, I'm definitely going to buy one of these bubble machines. Otto couldn't get enough of it. He had to sit right in the path of the bubbles to get the full experience, of course.

Otto had so much fun at Boo Brunch, he fell asleep during dinner and slept all night long. So, Oscar and Noah and Ben and Karen and myself went Trick-or-Treating sans Otto. David stayed home on Otto and door duty.
