Cytrynowicz Happenings: LOUD and Proud!

If my blog posts had a theme, then the theme for this post would be LOUD. True, it's hard for David and me to have a conversation with each other, let alone make a phone call or take a nap--but these boys are awesome and they make us laugh. That being said, they make us a little crazy too. Going to work has been like a little vacation for me--just being able to hear myself think, have a cup of coffee, etc. Come Sunday night, I find myself excited about going into work Monday morning. Today is Sunday, so I have a little smile on my face.

Oh, and this week we had a babysitter come over and watch BOTH BOYS for the first time and it was wonderful. David and I had a date night. Woo-Hoo! Can't wait to do that again soon.

Okay, on to the boys. Oscar and Otto are still cracking each other up. Can't wait to see what our lives are like when both guys are running around the house.

He liked it so much, we decided to make our own pom-pom game for Oscar.

Per Tracy's suggestion, David also made a noodle game for Oscar. For those of you with busy 2-year-olds who might like this, all you need is pipe cleaner and noodles. Easy Peasy.

Oscar still recognizes all his old toys that his baby bro is now experiencing for the first time. Here's Oscar showing Otto how it's done.

Otto likes the doorway jumper, but what he likes more is watching his big brother play. And Oscar, as you can see, likes playing with and destroying his train table.

Oscar's not too verbal while playing with his table. Unless, of course, he breaks something beyond repair or gets frustrated when his trains won't do what he wants them to do.

Here's the verbal boy I know and love so well. We do this thing where whenever I ask, "you know what?" Oscar answers "I love you!" We also do this thing where we tell him when he's being too loud. He thinks it's funny.

Please don't report me to the parent police, I know you're not supposed to put the Bumbo on the counter, but it's easier on my back. Here's Otto paying more attention to Oscar than to his lunch.

Otto's starting to get loud. Oscar can give a pretty good imitation of his little brother. Don't you think?

To me, this is the most exciting thing of Otto's milestones. He is now (as of yesterday), rolling from tummy to back. He's also bearing weight on his elbows and pushing up with his hands during tummy time. This is huge! Babies normally start doing this earlier than 7 months, but Otto's pediatrician and physical therapists believe that Otto wasn't progressing in tummy time and rolling because of his acid reflux. Even though his reflux and other GI problems have gone away, he's so used to protecting his tummy area. Makes sense to me. Anyhow, he's pushing up and rolling now and I couldn't be happier. Actually, all of us are pretty darn excited--as you can see from the videos.
