December 2011: Oscar's School Program, Christmas and New Year's Eve

I took the short video below as Oscar and classmates were entering the church and lining up to perform.

Even though the song is called "Teaching Peace," it will always be "Cheese and Peas" to me.  Weeks before holiday program night, Oscar insisted the song his class would be performing was called "Cheese and Peas" aka "Teaching Peace."

This video shows Otto's reaction to the Pre-K kids' holiday performance.  Each kid introduced him/herself and said an adorable line from an impressively multicultural skit.

Every time the audience would clap and laugh, so would Otto. Then, he started introducing himself--just like the Pre-K kids were doing.

Most parents of non-autistic kids would probably be embarrassed by Otto's outburst, but I was thrilled. I eventually had to ask him to be quiet because some parents were starting to glare. Oh
well.

I feel so lucky to have such kind animals for our boys to grow up with and love.

These boys love to jump! And one of these days, we're going to get an outdoor trampoline for them to jump on, too!

The name of these videos is "Are you gonna take a nap?" I bet you can guess the answer to that question.

We spent New Year's Eve at the Great Wolf Lodge indoor water park resort. The boys were fast asleep before the clock struck twelve and didn't get to see the balloon drop actually drop. I still took a picture of it though, because the lodge was amazingly decorated.
