My friend and hairstylist, Lynn, did the honors. Lynn has been cutting my hair for years and was so good with Oscar. We knew she would be.
She even gave Oscar some layers in the back and didn't mind that she had to re-sterilize all of her combs and accessories after the haircut. (Oscar put everything in his mouth). She said that Oscar was better behaved than most of her adult clients. =)
The funniest part of the whole experience for me was when Lynn first got started with the cut. Every time she would spray water or snip a piece of hair, Oscar would whip his head around to see who was back there cutting his hair. Lynn tried to get him to look in the mirror, so he could watch her work, but Oscar didn't really grasp that concept.
I have included lots of pics and step-by-step videos of the whole experience. Enjoy!
See how nice and trim it is in the back? No more crazy curl action. David and I keep saying, "He looks like such a little boy." His baby face is gone, it's true. We have a little boy now.
The video below shows Oscar's newest development--"verbally cheering for himself." He's been clapping for himself for a while now, but now he has his own version of "Yay!" to accompany the clap. His voice is so low it cracks us up. Enjoy! Have a great week!
